Brand Identity


Sono Photography asked Diagonal to refresh their brand identity. Sono was expanding into a new space that was to be a photography studio and art gallery. The identity needed to express what the studio does and the playfulness of the owner’s personality.

Diagonal created a brand identity that took inspiration from the aperture and created a badge that could also be used as a stand-alone symbol. Using the symbol, we created a family of shapes and patterns to be used as part of the brand’s graphic devices.

The refreshed brand launched in September 2014 and other collateral was developed, such as; studio signage, a stationery system and marketing material.
